After meeting, Roz Hayes and Dani Stoller, with backgrounds in the aircraft and automotive industries respectively, initially began creating one-offs and designing and manufacturing props for the entertainment industry. In searching for their place to fit in the design world, the pair worked as art directors for music videos, movie set dressers, as well as product and industrial designers. Ultimately the two realized that they believed in creating furniture pieces that were comfortable , functional, and well constructed, and with those ideals in mind, their studio, Lush Life was born. Lush Life debuted their work in 1998 introducing their first line of furniture at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Soon after the two designers found themselves featured in magazines in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Recently, Hayes and Stoller have been spending more time in the world of interior design and custom fabrication. With their mix of freedom of expression and technical sensibility, the two designers continue to share with the world their creative dreams.
